How did you meet?

Jia and I met while I was teaching English in Korea. I had organized a bar crawl for the local foreign teachers, and Jia was working weekend nights at one of our destinations. As soon as I walked into the bar, I declared she was going to be my best friend that night. Truly prophetic, I suppose!

How did they ask? 

On her birthday, I took her out for dinner after she got off work, and then to a local rooftop cafe, where I popped the question.

When did you know they were ‘the one’? 

It’s hard to pinpoint exact moments like that, but for me I’d say that after our first trip back to the United States, when she had met most of my friends and family and engaged very well with them all, I felt very comfortable saying this could be for real.

How long were you all together before tying the knot?

Before officially tying the knot? 2 and a half years. Before Covid allowed us to have a wedding? 4 years

What made you decide to book the Osprey’s?

Jia always wanted a waterfront wedding. Not only was the location was gorgeous, but it fit our budget, and the support staff we met really helped convince us it was the place.

What was your favorite part of the planning process?

There was a favorite part??? Probably tasting all the food in preparation. 

What was the theme or vibe you were trying to achieve on your wedding day?

Relaxed and safe.
