Have you ever wanted to keep a bouquet of flowers with you forever? Flowers can have a special meaning and leave lasting impressions on a person, but we all know that they don’t last forever. This week on our blog, Brandon’s Flowers is joining us as a guest writer and will share with you a way to preserve your florals. They will help you to keep your special flowers looking beautiful long after you’ve received them.
We enjoy working with fresh flowers daily and scientists have proven that flowers make people happy. Many people argue that they don’t purchase flowers because they wilt and wither. Well we have the answer for that! Dry our bouquets out after you are finished enjoying them fresh and also before they lose their color and straightness! Once our stems start to show signs of wear, we don’t simply throw them out, we start our drying process! Dried flowers are a great addition to the home or workspace as they look lovely, and are such a great keepsake. Drying flowers is a great way to preserve those bouquets that have a special meaning to us. The most straightforward way to dry flowers is to simply hang them upside down in a cool room and let nature do the rest of the work. Just tie the flowers together with string/rubber band and attach them upside down to a hanger or a pole for a few weeks. If you can get your hands on a preservative this will help keep the petals from separating as easily but it is not a MUST. Now that we’ve shown you how to dry your bouquets, don’t think twice about grabbing yourself that bunch of flowers from your local florist!
